DISCOVERING YOUR TRUE WORTH
We live in a world that constantly tells us who we are and who we’re not. Many wrestle with feelings of inadequacy, insecurity, or worthlessness. But God’s Word tells a different story. “Discovering Your True Worth” is a Bible study that will guide you on a journey through Scripture to see yourself through God’s eyes: loved without condition, redeemed through Christ, seen and valued by your Creator, transformed by His grace, and secure in the identity He has given you. This is not about building self-esteem on shifting sand, but about anchoring your worth in the unshakable truth of who God says you are.
LOVED BY GOD
God’s love is the foundation of our worth, unchanging and unconditional.
Jeremiah 31:3
“The Lord appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.”
John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
Romans 5:8
“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 8:38–39
“For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Ephesians 2:4–5
“But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved.”
Ephesians 3:17–19
“So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”
1 John 3:1
“See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.”
1 John 4:9–10
“In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”
What would change in your daily life if you truly received the reality of God’s unconditional love?
Who in your life needs to be reminded of God’s love through your words or actions this week?

Through Christ’s sacrifice, we are set free from sin and given new life.

“He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”

1 Peter 1:18–19
“Knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.”
Where do you still feel like you’re living under guilt, shame, or condemnation rather than Christ’s redemption?
What’s the difference between knowing Christ redeemed you and living as if you are redeemed?
SEEN BY GOD
God knows us fully, sees us deeply, and values us beyond measure.
Genesis 16:13
“So she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, ‘You are a God of seeing,’ for she said, ‘Truly here I have seen him who looks after me.’”

Psalm 139:1–4
“O Lord, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.”
Matthew 10:29–31
“Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.”
Hebrews 4:13
“And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.”
When you feel overlooked or forgotten, how does knowing that God truly sees you change your perspective?
How can you remind yourself this week that you are never invisible or forgotten by God?
TRANSFORMED BY GRACE
God’s grace does not leave us as we are but reshapes us into who He created us to be.
Ezekiel 36:26-27
“And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you and cause you to walk in my statutes and keep my judgments and do them.”
John 1:16
“For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.”

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
Ephesians 4:22–24
“To put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.”
Titus 3:4–7
“But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”
Where have you already seen God’s grace at work transforming your heart or habits?
In what area of your life do you sense God inviting you into deeper transformation?
WHO GOD SAYS YOU ARE
Our true identity is not defined by the world, but by the truth of God’s Word.
Ephesians 2:10
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”
John 1:12-13
“But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood, or of the will of the flesh, or of the will of man, but of God.”
Romans 8:15–16

“For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.”
1 Peter 2:9
“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”
Romans 8:37
“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”
1 John 5:11–12
“And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.”
In what ways have you let culture, comparison, or past wounds shape your self-image more than God’s Word?
What is one area of your life where you need to boldly live out who God says you are?
